As the world's largest stamp manufacturer, we are responsible for our employees, the area and our environment:
trodat® was founded in 1912 and trodat® it is the largest stamp manufacturer.As part of Trodat Trotec Holding GmbH, based in Wels, Upper Austria , trodat® has about 1,000 employees worldwide, 400 of them in Austria. In 2017, the Trodat Trotec Group generated overall sales of more than 249 million euros. Exports make up more than 98% of its business.

Local Economy
On the one hand, trodat® benefits from this location through a high density of local suppliers that supply us with important raw materials and operating resources. In 2017, almost half, 46% , of the total purchasing volume was procured from local suppliers. On the other hand, we benefit from the availability of well-trained specialists due to our location. We ourselves have been contributing to this for years by placing great emphasis on training specialists.

Compliance and Corporate Governance
Our products should not only offer maximum utility value, but should also be safe to use at any time and comply with the applicable legal regulations. Compliance with the EU Chemicals Regulation, REACH , and California Proposition 65 is of utmost importance to us at the international level.

Corporate environmental protection
Every day we try to optimise:
Low water and energy consumption through increased efficiency, reduced energy consumption and energy recovery.
Electricity reduction of 40.5% per injection moulding unit produced since 2009.
Since 2001, more than 1000 tonnes of CO2 saved by reducing fossil fuels.

Innovation
Our high innovative strength results from an extremely high vertical integration from the planning, realisation and maintenance of our production facilities to the manufacturing of tools. Internal knowhow and the collaboration with external specialists, e.g. Austrian University of Applied Sciences, lead to permanent further development of our products and constantly new detailed solutions.

Raw materials
We use our raw materials wisely:
Using 100% green electricity in our production.
Reducing CO2 emissions by using recycled plastic, e.g. up to 65% post-consumer material for our trodat Printy™ 4.0
Complying with the RoHS directive, Restriction of Hazardous Substances.
Completely abandoning PVC in the production of our stamp.
Permanently monitoring raw materials in terms of quality, environmental, energy and safety aspects, certified by TÜV-Austria.

Production
Our production is sustainable:
Reduction of rejects and waste from production to a minimum necessary for production.
Recycling of approx. 80% of all production waste, with 100% recycling rate for mechanically unstressed parts.
Production is completely free of waste water.

Climate protection
To us, holistic climate protection is based on the three pillars of CO2 avoidance before reduction before offsetting. This principle has accompanied us for years in our efforts to further reduce the CO2 emissions of our production processes and products.
Every year, the unavoidable CO2 emissions of our best-selling products are identified and offset by WWF-recommended gold standard climate change projects.
This makes our bestsellers climate-neutral - as standard.
